Ian Parker

Ian Parker is a furniture maker, designer and woodworking educator based in the South of England. Originally qualifying as a commercial artist in 1990, Ian has worked across a range of creative industries before focusing on fine furniture making and traditional hand-tool woodworking. Working from his studio workshop, he combines careful design with a deep appreciation for precision, craftsmanship and the mastery of hand skills. Alongside his furniture making, Ian teaches both in-person and online woodworking courses, sharing his enthusiasm for hand tools and fine furniture making with woodworkers around the world.

Ian Parker will be joining LIWF 2026 to deliver a course and masterclass, as well as joining the LIWF Marketplace on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October.
