Georgy Metichian
Georgy Metichian is a master wood carver and furniture maker originally from Tbilisi, Georgia, now based in London. Trained in wood technology and restoration from a young age, Georgy is known for combining traditional craftsmanship with a distinctive contemporary style. His work ranges from finely carved furniture and mirror frames to bespoke decorative commissions, with pieces held in locations including the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace and the Furniture Makers’ Hall. A member of both the Art Workers’ Guild and The Furniture Makers’ Company, Georgy continues to teach and exhibit internationally.
Georgy Metichian will be joining LIWF 2026 to deliver a course and masterclass, as well as joining the LIWF Marketplace on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October.
