The Dutch tool chest is a compact and practical design that holds a core set of hand tools while remaining portable and efficient. In this course, participants will build their own chest while learning fundamental woodworking techniques used in traditional casework.
Students will work through key processes including dovetailing, dados, rabbets and assembly, gaining confidence in layout, cutting and fitting. The course focuses on practical hand-tool methods and efficient working practices that can be applied to a wide range of furniture projects.
Megan Fitzpatrick is a woodworker, teacher and editor at Lost Art Press, and former editor of Popular Woodworking Magazine. She is widely known for her clear teaching style and deep knowledge of traditional woodworking techniques.
By the end of the course, participants will have completed their own piece to take away, with all materials provided and access to the Marketplace included as part of the experience.
